‘Yung father sobrang tuliro’: Family mourns death of 4-year-old kid who died after fatal NAIA car crash

-

In an exclusive interview with The Philippine STAR/LatestChika.com, Donna, aunt of the four-year-old kid who died after the fatal NAIA car crash on Sunday, said that the victim’s father, Danmark Soriano Masongsong, is still in shock after the accident.

Donna is currently based in Singapore. When they heard the tragic news, she went home to the Philippines to assist her younger brother, Danmark.

4-year-old Malia Kates Yuchen Gayeta Masongsong was one of the fatalities after an SUV plowed into a crowd and crashed near the entrance of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 on May 4, 2025.

Malia is an only child. Her father, Danmark, works in Czech Republic as an assembly line operator.

Only child at sobrang alagang alaga ng ina. Daddy’s girl din un. She likes dressing up,” Donna described her niece.

The whole family was heartbroken following the tragic death of Malia. For now, they are looking forward to the healing of their injured family members and assisting Malia’s parents.

Donna also revealed that New NAIA Infra Corp. (NNIC) President Ramon Ang continues to extend help and assistance to their family in this most difficult time.

“From the start ay nagbigay na sila ng tulong at continuous pa din ang pagbibigay nila, palagi sila tumatawag at nagtatanong kung ano ang kailangan namin. Kahit sa St. Lukes ay asikaso ang buong pamilya namin,” she said.

The wake of Baby Malia is currently taking place in their hometown in Lipa, Batangas.
