Vice Ganda has been recognized as one of Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) Quezon City’s top taxpayer of 2024.
The It’s Showtime host and comedian took to Facebook on Tuesday to thank the agency for the recognition.
“Maraming salamat sa pagkilala sa akin bilang TOP TAXPAYER in BIR Quezon City for 2024,” Vice Ganda said in a Facebook post.
“Obligasyon nating magbayad ng buwis, at obligasyon din nating itanong kung saan napupunta ito,” he added.
In his speech, Vice Ganda emphasized the importance of paying taxes and holding those who manage the taxes accountable.
“Pag sinabing taxpayer ka, parang may nagawa kang tama para sa bansang to, ang saya kasi diba parang sumusunod sa batas,” stated the host.
Vice Ganda also received the same recognition in 2023.
“Karapatan natin mag-kuwestiyon at magsalita at bumoses dahil pera po natin ang ginamit do’n kaya lahat po tayo obligasyon natin magbayad ng buwis dahil tayo rin naman ang makikinabang diyan,” he added.
