Members of OPM bands Moonstar88 and 6cyclemind sold prized pieces of their musical history to raise funds for the medical treatment of the father of former IV Of Spades’ Blaster Silonga.

In a recent episode of “Pinoy Pawnstars,” content creator and host Boss Toyo welcomed members of the Moonstar88 and 6cyclemind who visited his pawn shop on Feb. 19.

During their visit, Moonstar88 members, vocalist Maysh Baay, Bon Sundiang, and Herbert Hernandez offered the guitar they used in recording their hit songs “Migraine” and “Torete”.

Meanwhile, members of 6cyclemind offered a trophy they won on the ABS-CBN Sunday variety show “ASAP” for their 2007 best-selling album “Home”, which featured well-loved tracks including “Prinsesa,” and “Upside Down”.

According to the musicians, they participated in this initiative to raise funds for Allan Mitchell Silonga, the father of Blaster Silonga, who is battling kidney and heart complications which requires a kidney transplant, angioplasty, and a heart bypass surgery.

After negotiations, all band members agreed on a final amount of P400,688 for the memorabilia.

As a token of appreciation, Moonstar88 also gifted Boss Toyo a vinyl record of their latest album, “Lourdes 2088,” along with a limited edition disc of their 2012 album, “This Year.”

Following the episode, Silonga expressed his gratitude towards Boss Toyo and his fellow artists in a video.

“Sobrang shocked ako sa ipinakita niyong pagmamahal sa akin. Wala naman akong naitulong na malaki sa inyo. Naging mabuti at naging tao lang ako ‘pag nagkakasama tayo. Sobrang salamat from the bottom of my heart and my family. Malaking tulong kayo sa akin,” Silonga said.
