“Please Please Please” hitmaker Sabrina Carpenter and actor Barry Keoghan have reportedly called it quits after nearly a year of being in a relationship.
People Magazine on Wednesday reported that Sabrina, 26, and Barry, 32, decided to end their romance citing their busy career.
“They are both young and career-focused, so they’ve decided to take a break,” People Magazine quoted a source as saying.
The singer-songwriter and Oscar-nominated actor have yet to release their statement.
Sabrina first sparked dating rumors with Barry after being spotted going out for dinner together in Los Angeles in December 2023 and exchanging sweet comments on social media.
Barry starred in the music video of Sabrina’s Grammy-nominated video, “Please Please Please,” released last June.
Aside from Song Of The Year, Sabrina is also nominated for five other awards including Best Pop Vocal Album (Short n’ Sweet), Best Pop Solo Performance (Espresso), Best New Artist (Short n’ Sweet), Album Of The Year (Short n’ Sweet) and Record Of The Year (Espresso).
Reacting to the nominations, Barry previously said of Sabrina: “Brilliant, I know. Absolutely brilliant…I’m really, really happy for her.
