Singer-host Billy Crawford has confirmed the death of his father, Jack Crawford, on Sunday.
In an emotional Instagram post, Billy paid tribute to his late father as he mourned the loss, expressing his deep regret at not being able to say a final goodbye.
“I’m sorry, Dad. I wasn’t there to say goodbye, give you a last hug, or tell you how much I love you. You’ll always be in my heart,” Billy wrote.
The OPM singer went on to express his gratitude for his father’s love and support throughout his life, “Thank you for being the greatest dad I could ever have! May you finally rest and forever be happy in the arms of Our Lord Jesus Christ.”
“I’ll truly miss you, my main man! Love, your son. Billy Joe CRAWFORD,” Billy concluded his message.
Following Billy’s post, a wave of sympathy and support from both fans and fellow celebrities flooded his social media.
Dingdong Danter, Piolo Pascual, Alex Gonzaga, Carla Abellana, Ryan Bang, and Jessy Mendiola, among others expressed their condolences and offered prayers for the Crawford family during this difficult time.
It was in May 2022 when Billy thanked his wife Coleen Garcia for making his dream come true, for his dad to finally meet their son, Amari, before bidding farewell to his parents who went back to Texas.
