TV actress Bea Alonzo has clarified that her split from ex-fiancé Dominic Roque was a mutual decision after nearly three years together.
In a recent interview with Boy Abunda, Bea discussed the breakup, dispelling rumors surrounding their separation. She explained that the decision to end their engagement was not made lightly, despite their efforts to reconcile.
“It eventually became a mutual decision. Of course, we worked it out; it was a very serious relationship. We didn’t take the decision lightly,” Bea stated.
The couple publicly announced their breakup in early February through a joint Instagram post.
During the interview, Bea also addressed comments made by Nelson Canlas, who had suggested she was solely responsible for the breakup. “He [Nelson] went like, ‘syempre ikaw nakipag break, hindi nila alam mahirap din sa yo. It was an instinct to correct him’,” Bea remarked.
She concluded by emphasizing that both she and Dominic agreed to end their engagement together. “It was a process, and yeah, it eventually became mutual. Both parties agreed.”
When Dominic Roque was asked about his reaction to the claims that Bea was the one who ended the relationship, he simply responded, “Wala naman akong i-a-add.”
Bea and Dominic got engaged in July of the previous year and ended their relationship early this year.
