Missed Taylor Swift’s “Eras Tour?” Worry no more! This jeepney driver from Bacolod is definitely a Swiftie!
In a video uploaded by Rolyn Java on TikTok, the jeepney can be seen having a mini-LED screen showing the American superstar’s famous tour.
“I didn’t expect na ganun po sa loob ng jeep kasi. May mga student po sa likod ko and they enjoy it so much sayang lang like 4 lang kami sa loob ng jeep saya siguro pag marami naka sakay,” Java told The Philippine STAR.
“We can’t deny the fact that we Millennials and Gen Z all grew up listening to Taylor Swift. I may not be a solid fan, but still ang saya lang pag may ganitong jeepney na todo effort with all the jeepney phase out issue, nakaka good vibes. Maybe he’s creative, nakaka good vibes po pag naka sakay ka sa kanya,” she added.
Java spotted the Swiftie driver while she was on her way home along the Mandalagan – Libertad route last Wednesday, March 13, 2024.
As of this writing, the uploaded video on social media has already garnered more than 300,000 views on TikTok.
“Baki pumunta pa kayo sa Singapore? kimmi HAHAHA,” Java captioned the now-viral video.
Netizens also exchange banters on the unique gimmick of the jeepney driver.
“Tatlong oras ako sa jeep niyan,” a netizen commented.
“Kuya para po! D’yan lang Cornelia Street,” another said referring to one of Swift’s songs.
“Tapos lahat ng pasahero, Swiftie, ay may concert talaga sa jeep,” a user added.
Swift just recently concluded her “The Eras Tour” concerts in Japan, Australia, and Singapore and is now set to perform in Paris, Sweden, and Portugal in May.
