It’s really over for Bea Alonzo and Dominic Roque as they officially confirmed “with great sadness” the end of their engagement in a statement shared on their social media accounts.
In their respective Instagram posts, Bea and Dominic, they decided to make the announcement after “some people confirmed our breakup without our consent.”
Nevertheless, they stressed that the decision involved careful thought and mutual understanding.
“After much thought, consideration, and care, we have mutually decided to amicably end our engagement,” the statement began, accompanied by a photo of the two of them.
Despite their initial desire for more time to deliberate and pray about their situation, Bea and Dominic explained that external factors, such as persistent rumors, misinformation, and unpleasant remarks, led them to share the news sooner for the sake of their “peace of mind”.
“It was not an easy decision. We wanted to have more time to carefully deliberate and pray about it, but there have been many speculations, questions, and insults.
They expressed disappointment at some individuals who confirmed their breakup without their consent and concocted baseless and false stories.
“Unfortunately, some even confirmed our break-up without our consent, and some created ridiculous stories that had no basis and were utterly false, so we felt the need to share this announcement with great sadness, for our peace of mind and our families.”
Bea and Dominic made a heartfelt plea for privacy as they navigate the challenging aftermath of their decision.
“Please understand that this is an extremely painful yet united decision, and we sincerely request for everyone to kindly spare us from more cruel and very hurtful words thrown on social media.”
“We kindly request to give us the privacy we need as we navigate our future lives with respect, kindness, compassion, and dignity. Thank you for your understanding and support,” the joint statement concluded.
The two got engaged in Bataan last July 2023, after two years of being in a relationship.
