Kapuso actress Kazel Kinouchi addressed her alleged involvement in a celebrity couple’s controversial breakup.
In an episode of GMA talk show Sarap, ‘Di Ba?, its hosts Carmina Villaroel, together with her twins Mavy and Cassy Legaspi, were joined by the former’s co-stars in the Kapuso hit series Abot Kamay ang Pangarap, Jillian Ward, Kazel Kinouchi, and Chuckie Dreyfus.
A portion of the program involved a hot seat question for each of the guests.
For Kazel, she was asked how she felt about being involved with a couple’s split.
While the names of the couple were not mentioned in the show, it can be recalled that the actress was previously linked with Richard Gutierrez amidst his relationship woes with his wife Sarah Lahbati.
“‘Nung una nakakatawa kasi wala talagang katotohanan. Kasi may explanation kung bakit ganu’n ‘yung situation,” Kazel said.
She continued, “‘Nung medyo tumagal tagal na, ang dami nang nambubulabog sa’kin. Wala naman akong kasalanan, and you’re innocent and people are made to believe these lies and they really believe ‘di ba?”
According to Kazel, she remained hopeful and confident despite the allegations.
“It was saddening but at the same time, inisip ko the truth will always come out. ‘Yun nga ‘yung lagi ko sinasabi it will always come out so confident lang ako,” the actress shared.
Carmina, Mavy, and Cassy reacted in agreement to Kazel’s statement by high-fiving the actress.
Kazel added, “Sabi ko, as long as I’m not doing anything against anyone, God is with me, I’m at peace.”
Carmina then asked Kazel if there was ever a time that she wanted to defend or speak up for herself against bashers.
Kinouchi recalled her encounters with netizens who kept asking her online about the issue.
“Sinabi ko talaga na no.When they asked me, I answered straight up no. For me dapat di ako ‘yung magsalita kasi ako ‘yung nadawit dito,” Kazel explained her response.
The host went on to call out bashers, saying, “Ang lalakas ng loob niyo mang-bash you don’t know the story, you don’t know the truth.”
Carmina continued, “‘Pag inisip mo naman, if you stoop down their level , if you keep explaining pero sarado na ‘yung isip nila, hindi na sila maniniwala because ang paniniwalaan nila ay lie.”
“I always tell you guys we can’t please everybody so ang dapat nating [gawin] ay dedma,” she advised her co-star.
