Kapamilya TV host Robi Domingo and his longtime girlfriend, Maiqui Pineda, have exchanged their vows in a private and intimate church ceremony more than a year after their engagement.
The wedding took place on Saturday, January 6, at the Diocesan Shrine and Parish of San Isidro Labrador located at Brgy. Poblacion, Pulilan, Bulacan, attended by their families and close friends.
Melai Cantiveros shared some highlights of the wedding through her Instagram page, along with a lengthy and sentimental message for Robi and Maiqui.
“Congratulations and [b]est Wishes to the Couple of the [H]our,” the comedienne began with her caption.
“Congrats tlaga Robi ‘D’ sa gabi and Maiqui ganda dahil it[o] na kay[o] sa next chapter ng iny[o]ng life[.] [A]ng hirap ng pinagdaanan niny[o], m[o] @iamrobidomingo[,] kita ko nagpapakenkoy ka kay [M]aiqui, pinapakita m[o] na masaya ka kahit deep in side in pain, and du’n kami bumilib say[o] mga kaibigan m[o],” Melai wrote.
“And [n]ow … grabe sobrang ganda ng wedding ny[o] and ang sayaaaaa ng wedding very smoooooth[.] Congrats once again Robi D and @maiqweeks more babies to come sa inyu,” she added.
In the posted video, Robi wore a Barong Tagalog, while Maiqui donned a white wedding gown.
One of the clips showed a sign requesting attendees not to post photos or videos on social media until after the reception to preserve the intimacy of the wedding. The sign also expressed gratitude for the support and emphasized savoring the moment together.
In Melai’s separate posts, celebrities were spotted in her photos including Joshua Garcia, Enchong Dee, Bianca Gonzalez, JC Intal, Piolo Pascual, Janine Gutierrez, Gab Valenciano, AC Bonifacio, Maymay Entrata, Darla Sauler, Edward Barber, and Alora Sasam.
Former vice president Leni Robredo was also seen attending the ceremony. It can be recalled that they personally invited Atty. Robredo to be their godparent.
Meanwhile, ex-couple Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo were spotted in a video shared by Darla as they served as candle sponsors for the couple.
The couple announced their engagement in November 2022 after four years of dating.
Robi initially wanted to postpone the wedding due to Maiqui’s ongoing battle with her auto-immune disease called Dermatomyositis, a condition that causes muscle weakness, inflammation, and skin rash.
