Happy Esquivias-Dos Santos, mother of singer-actress Tippy Dos Santos, passed away after figuring in a vehicular accident with her husband John in Seoul, South Korea.
According to Tippy’s statement, her parents were involved in a serious traffic accident on December 27, the first day of their vacation in Seoul.
Just a few days after publicly requesting prayers for the recovery of her 58-year-old mother, Tippy’s family announced her passing on Saturday, December 30, through her social media accounts.
“Dear family and friends, on December 30th 2023, our beloved Happy passed away after suffering injuries from a traffic accident in Seoul, Korea. She fought for her life, but in the end, the Lord decided to bring our beloved Happy home,” Dos Santos’ family began in their statement.
It continued, “The hurt of this loss to our family is indescribable and we will miss her every single day. As her husband, the light of my life and the light of my world was extinguished. As for my daughters, they have lost the most caring and loving mother any child could ask for.
“Happy was bright and full of energy, she knew how to light up every room she was in. Happy was caring and generous, she would provide you with any assistance you needed from her — no questions asked,” the post read.
“Happy was so loving and she devoted much of her energy to making sure people she loved knew and felt her love.”
The sentiment concluded with the words, “We will always cherish the love and joy she brought into our lives, and we are aware that she has similarly touched the hearts of many others. Please hold onto the beautiful memories she shared with each of you.”
Happy passed away after being confined to a hospital in Seoul for three days. The unfortunate event occurred just a week before her 59th birthday.
Several personalities, including Sharon Cuneta, Zsa Zsa Padilla, Kaye Abad, Gab Pangilinan, Karen Reyes, and Cai Cortez, have extended their condolences.
