Bamboo saves Sarah G struggling mid-performance during collab concert

Concertgoers captured Sarah Geronimo experiencing difficulty while performing the song Himala during her recent collab concert with Bamboo.

On the evening of Friday, Oct. 13, the two OPM artists held their concert at the IEC Convention Center, Cebu.

One Tiktok user @leighlaang uploaded a video of the performance, saying, “They pushed through with the concert even though Sarah didn’t have a voice to start with. Here she is in the middle of the concert with Bamboo to the rescue ahhh.”

In the clip, it appears that Sarah initially struggled with her voice as she began the song. Despite the noticeable difficulty the “Tala” singer was experiencing, the audience spontaneously sang along for her, bringing a smile to her face.

Bamboo’s voice was suddenly heard from backstage, causing Sarah to turn around. The two then joined forces to deliver a powerful performance of the classic Rivermaya song.

“Ha-hahaha! Palakpakan natin si Coach Bamboo,” Sarah laughingly said.

Bamboo then bowed and moved to the side of the stage, watching his stage partner as Sarah belted out the song and completed it. The crowd stood up, clapping and cheering.

Gradually, Bamboo approached, clapping along to Sarah’s vocal performance.

Sarah and Bamboo’s Pampanga show scheduled for October 1 was previously canceled due to the former’s unexpected medical condition.
