Song Joong Ki is officially a father!
Korean news platform Naver reported that the South Korean star and his partner Katie Louise Saunders have welcomed their first child together in Rome, Italy.
Naver said the actor announced the birth of their son through his fan cafe on Wednesday.
Joong Ki started off his note by sharing that he he has just finished filming his movie ‘Rogiwan’ in Hungary and attended the Cannes Film festival for the movie Hwaran.
“I’m still so happy that every moment of the festival feels like a dream,” the Hallyu star was quoted as saying.
“I wanted to tell you one more dream-like news, so I came to say hello,” Joong Ki wrote as he proceeded to reveal the birth of their healthy baby boy.
“I’m in Italy now.
“I finally met my baby here in Rome, my wife’s hometown.He’s a healthy son. The baby and the mother,” read the rough translation of Joong Ki’s message.
“We are very healthy, happy, and happy to meet you, and we are taking care of our family with a grateful heart.
He went on to say that it’s his biggest dream to have a happy family.
“I think it’s the most precious gift for our couple,” he said as he expressed gratitude to his fans.
“And thanks to your support, I think this great day has come.Thank you.
It was last January when the actor revealed his marriage to Katy and that they are expecting a child together.
