Comedian-host Boobay has worried fans after what happened to him during an interview with TV host Boy Abunda.
Amid their talk during an episode of Fast Talk With Boy Abunda last Thursday (April 20), Boy was asking Boobay a question when the latter suddenly turned “unresponsive.”
Boobay was also unable to speak when Abunda repeatedly asked him if he was feeling well, which drew concern from the host and prompted him to ask for a short break.
When Fast Talk came back on air, Boobay shared that a day before the guesting, he suffered the same circumstance while shooting for The Boobay and Tekla show, citing that lack of sleep caused the situation.
“Ito yung pagkakataon kahapon nasa taping kami tapos bigla akong medyo nag-hang habang kami ay nagshu-shoot sa aming ‘The Boobay and Tekla Show.’
“Siguro dahil sa ilaw din at the same time siguro konti pa ‘yung tulog ko ‘nun na maling-mali sa ginawa ko na dapat kailangan talaga bago ka pumunta sa isang trabaho, ‘wag ka munang kukuha ng ibang trabaho para kahit papaano mailagay mo yung katawan mo sa maayos,” shared Boobay.
“Mali sa akin yung ganun, pero sinabi naman sa akin ng doktor before na mangyayari talaga sa akin ‘yun after nung nangyari sa akin before noong naospital ako,” said Boobay, referring to the time he suffered stroke in 2016.
“After daw nun, maaaring mag-hang ako. The best thing that you have to do is…mag-stop ka lang until hayaan mong bumalik sa dati,” he added.
When asked about the ways he takes care of himself, Boobay said that he finds solace in performing in front of the crowd and accepting gigs.
While Boobay said he has provided enough for his family, the comedian stated why he’s staying on the grind.
“Kailangan ko pa rin mag-ipon ng mag-ipon kasi angga’t meron nagbibigay sa’yo na makapag-ipon, kukunin ko ‘yan kasi baka the next time baka mawala na ‘yun,” said Boobay.
Abunda then reminded Boobay, as well as the viewers, to still prioritize their health.
Boobay’s remarks about his hypothetical appeal to Saint Peter also shocked netizens.
“Peter, kung may chance pa ulit, sana pabalikin mo si mama ko dito…Kaya ako nag-artista, kasi yun ang pangako ko sa kanya na sana, ‘Ma kapag naging artista ako, isa ka sa talagang gusto ko na nandito at makikita mo yung pagpapatawa ko at pagpapasaya sa mga tao’”, said Booba, referring to his late mom.
“So St. Peter, nandiyan ka ba? Wala? So, kung hindi pwede, ‘di ako na lang ang pupunta diyan soon. Ready na ako anytime,” continued Boobay.
“Omg yung last na sinabi niya,” said a netizen.
“Boobay wag kang ganyan. Palakas ka, wag masyadong mapagod,” another commented.
