“As a friend” no more.
Paolo Contis finally admitted that he’s more than friends with Yen Santos amid their longstanding romance rumors.
The Kapuso actor made the confirmation during the second part of his interview on Fast Talk With Boy Abunda, after Boy asked if the actress is already his girlfriend.
“Yes,” Paolo said after cracking a joke on his controversial “as a friend” remark.
“Ang samin kasi, kung baga, what you see is what you get na naman e, ‘di ba? Hindi na namin pwedeng ipilit ‘yung tao to be happy for us, hindi namin pwedeng ipilit ‘yung mga tao na paniwalaan ‘yung gusto nilang paniwalaan. Sana lang isipin nila na kung ano lang ‘yung nakikita nilang naka-post, ‘yun lang ‘yung truth na alam nila,” said Paolo.
The Bubble Gang star also reiterated that Yen was not the cause of his separation with ex-partner LJ Reyes.
“Hindi. Somehow, medyo matagal na kaming hindi okay ni LJ, pero we were together of course. Napapadalas ‘yung away. I think it’s a combination of stress sa pandemic and everything.
“One of my biggest mistakes was hindi ko inalala ‘yung mental health ni LJ. Isa ‘yan sa feeling kong naging simula ng downfall namin. Hindi ko naisip ‘yun.”
Paolo explained that he and LJ weren’t able to talk things out effectively until it got piled up and led to bigger problems.
“Plus, yun na nga, every time ako nakakalabas ng bahay dahil pandemic, may work… may kalaokohan din akong ginagawa,” Paolo said.
Alluding to his controversial “as a friend” statement about Yen, Paolo said that he and LJ already ended their relationship before being seen with Yen on several ocassions.
The actor earlier spoke about his relationship with kids with ex-partners LJ and Lian Paz.
