Former Kapamilya actress-host Toni Gonzaga and filmmaker husband Paul Soriano have officially joined Advanced Media Broadcasting System (AMBS) Channel 2 Network.
The couple signed an exclusive contract with the network owned by former Senate President and business tycoon Manny Villar on Thursday, September 1.
On Friday, Toni took to Instagram to share snaps of her and Paul from the contract-signing event as she expressed gratitude for her network’s warm welcome.
“Thank you for the warm welcome AMBS.? I’m so happy to be part of your family! I’m so excited for our partnership and I can’t wait to share with you ALL that we have been working on in the coming days,” wrote Toni as caption.
Toni and Paul were joined by the former’s parents Bonoy and Pinty Gonzaga, with Villar and his son Paolo.
Toni, who moved to ABS-CBN in 2005, courted controversy during the 2022 election period after she threw her big support to the Marcos-Duterte’s UniTeam tandem.
Some of the lawmakers and politicians aligned with the UniTeam voted against the renewal of the broadcast franchise of Toni’s former home network.
The couple is known to be close to now-President Bongbong Marcos who is their wedding godfather.
Nevertheless, the controversy has since sparked speculations about her leaving the Kapamilya network.
Toni later announced her exit as the main host of reality show Pinoy Big Brother after 16 years in February.
Besides returning soon on TV, Toni also runs her own film production house TinCan Films and has a YouTube channel Toni Gonzaga studio, which carries her talk show series ToniTalks.
