Comedienne Herlene Budol a.ka. Hipon Girl couldn’t contain her happiness and gratitude after officially becoming a candidate of this year’s Binibining Pilipinas.
The former Wowowin co-host took to social media to share what went down after she was announced as one of the national pageant’s 40 candidates during the final screening held on Friday.
“Ohmygad nung tinawag ang #67 na speechless po ako at wala parin akong tigil sa kaka-iyak dto sa backstage. Thank you lord for hearing & answering my Prayers!,” said Herlene in Instagram post.
Herlene, who introduced herself in the pageant with her second name Nicole, penned a thank you message to the people who have been supporting and guiding her in her new journey as a Bb. Pilipinas candidate.
The 22-year-old earlier shared that she will push for the advocacy of autism awareness and detection for her pageant stint.
“Nais kung makatulong sa pagmulat sa mga magulang ang importance ng maagang detection nang autism para malunasan or lumaki ang batang may autism na may medical attention at sila ay maging kapakipakinabang na mamamayan paglaki nila,” said Hipon.
Sharing a series of glam shots on Saturday, Herlene revealed that she’s eyeing to win the Miss Grand International crown.
