Kelly Day says Tom Rodriguez reached out to her over third party rumor with Carla Abellana

-

Kelly Day revealed that Tom Rodriguez reached out to her after she was dragged in his alleged split with wife Carla Abellana.

The beauty queen turned actress once again addressed the third party accusations in a recent interview with Boobay and Pepita Curtis YouLol’s Kalurks.

Kelly stresses that she neve had any romantic relationship with Tom who was her co-star in the now-defunct Kapuso series The World Between Us.

“To be honest, Tom is  super mabait and everything but I wasn’t really close with him compared to the other co-stars of mine that really became close to him. I guess I didn’t have many scenes with him also,” shared Kelly.

Kelly said that it came as a surprise to her when she became the subject of a blind item by veteran showbiz columnist Cristy Fermin last January.

At the time, the actress was in the United Kingdom to visit her family and attend her grandma’s funeral when the controversy blew up.

“I can’t actually blame the people for blaming me kasi the way that Cristy Fermin was doing her blind item, pati ako i would say that was definitely that it was about me,” Kelly said about the blind item that said she was pregnant and caused the split of Tom and Carla.

After learning about the viral blind item which Kelly said was clearly “directed at me”, she released a statement denying the speculations via Instagram story.

“It really has nothing to do with me and I had this confirmed with reliable sources that are close to Tom and Carla, that it has nothing to do with me and it’s all speculation. ‘Yun talaga ang totoo,” stated Kelly who attended the couple’s wedding last October.

Kelly added that Tom eventually reached out to her to clear her name out of the controversy.

“Actually, Tom messaged me and he clarified po with me that it has nothing to do with me.

“That’s one of the discourses that I had that made me sure that I’m not involved and it was all speculation,” she added.

Although Kelly said she could give understanding to peoples assumptions, the actress noted: “I wouldn’t say that it is still right to bash anyone online. I don’t believe in hate on social media.”

Carla and Tom, on the other hand, have remained mum on the issue.
