Lea Salonga paid a touching tribute to her good friend, Il Divo singer Carlos Marín, who recently passed away at the age of 53.
The Broadway icon took to social media to pen a short message for the pop-opera group performer.
“Truly you were one of a kind. I looked forward to singing with your luscious baritone at every performance on tour. Funny, handsome, and supremely talented. The world has lost someone special. Rest in Peace, my friend,” she wrote.
She then offered her condolences for Marín’s bandmates – David Miller, Urs Buhler and Sebastien Izambard.
It was on Monday when Il Divo announced on their Facebook page that their baritone singer passed away.
“There will never be another voice of spirit like Carlos. For 17 years the four of us have been on this incredible journey of Il Divo together, and we will miss our dear friends. We hope and pray that his beautiful soul will rest in peace,” they wrote.
