Jake Cuenca shares happiness after visiting delivery rider injured in police chase incident

-

Jake Cuenca made a promise to the delivery rider who was hit by a stray bullet during the car chase incident he had with the police.

It was just last month when the actor was caught in a police chase.

He said he fled from “armed civilians” who flagged down and aimed bullets at his sports utility vehicle (SUV). He also said did not know that the police chasing him were undercover.

Jake has since promised that he will extend his help to the delivery rider who was hit by a stray bullet from the police during their chase on the night of October 9.

The 33-year-old fulfilled his promise over the weekend.

On social media, he was happy to share that he finally got to pay Eleazar Martinito a visit, almost a month after the incident.

“Taos pusong pasasalamat sa mga pulis na tumulong sa iyo at naging tulay para makilala kita.

“Labis ang aking pasasalamat sa Panginoong Diyos na nasa maayos kang kalagayan kasama ang iyong pamilya. Hangad ko ang iyong patuloy na kaligtasan at nawa’y makabalik agad sa iyong trabaho,” he wrote on an Instagram post.

He also promised the delivery rider, “Nandito lang ako para sayo Ely!”

On the snaps he shared, Eleazar was still resting in bed as he and Jake spoke.

In an exclusive interview with TV Patrol last month, Jake said that he is complying with the police’s instructions following the incident.

“I followed everything that they wanted me to do. I followed due process. Di ako naglaban, di ko sila pinahirapan,” he said.
