“Kabayan” Noli De Castro is set to return to ABS-CBN’s TeleRadyo after withdrawing his senatorial candidacy.
The veteran broadcast journalist on Thursday took to Instagram to share a clip of him spending time at the beach, at the same time announcing that he will resume his work on the TV radio channel.
“Salamat po, sa kaunting pagkakataon na ma-enjoy ko ang beach, bago bumalik muli sa Teleradyo sa Lunes, kita kits kabayan.
According to an ABS-CBN report, Noli will be hosting again the morning show Kabayan and will anchor the program TeleRadyo Balita with Joyce Balancio.
Early in October, Noli had to leave his anchor duties on Teleradyo as well as ABS-CBN’s flagship newscast TV Patrol to seek a Senate seat in the May 2022 elections.
But only five days after filing his certificate of candidacy, he had a change of mind and decided to back out from the senatorial race.
“Nais kong iparating sa lahat ng aking mga kaibigan at supporters na naghahanda na sanang tumulong sa akin, na nagpasiya akong hindi na ituloy ang aking kandidatura.
“Napag-isip-isip kong mas makatutulong ako sa pagbibigay ng boses sa ating mga kababayan sa pamamagitan ng pamamahayag,” the newsman said in a letter to his party, Aksyon Demokratiko.
