After teasing the public about their real score on social media, Derek Ramsay and Ellen Adarna have gone on record to say that yes, they’re in a relationship — for one month now.
Derek, 44 and Ellen, 32, confirmed their relationship status to PEP.ph in an article published late Friday evening.
“May relasyon kami, oo,” was the straightforward answer of Derek when asked by the celebrity news outlet if they’re together.
Derek was also quoted as saying that there was spark the moment they met each other last January 11 over dinner at Derek’s house. The two are known to be neighbors in Ayala Alabang.

The Kapuso star admitted that their relationship didn’t take the “normal” route in that there wasn’t any formal ligawan or courtship, suggesting it just happened naturally.
“We just really are enjoying each other’s company,” Derek told PEP’s lead correspondent Arniel Serato.
The official confirmation was the only thing lacking as the new couple have not really been shy in posting their public display of affection (PDA) moments on social media.
Both appeared ready to go public with their romance after posting “couple pics” on their respective Instagram accounts this week.
They have also been openly defending each other from bashers, if not poking fun at them.
After being criticized by a netizen as not a “good influence to the youth”, Ellen said, “Yet you follow me, judge me and allow your mind to be exposed to ‘our’ influence. Who’s choice is that now? Shouldn’t you be protecting yourself and your peace.”
“Please unfollow,” Derek told those who expressed negative reactions to their relationship in the comments section on Friday.
Derek’s last girlfriend was fellow Kapuso star Andrea Torres, whom he broke up with last November 2020.
Ellen, who’s making her showbiz comeback via the TV5 sitcom John En Ellen, was previously linked to a foreigner after being in a relationship with actor John Lloyd Cruz.
She and John Lloyd have a two-year-old child together named Elias Modesto.
