Heart Evangelista sold her artwork to keep her promise of giving away tablets to students with online classes.
On June 4, the actress asked those who do not have tablets for online schooling to contact her on Instagram.
“For those who don’t have tablets for online school please dm me on ig…. I wil be giving away as much tablets as I can,” she wrote on Twitter.
The Kapuso star said she has just learned that having a tablet or computer is necessary for online schooling.
“I heard having a tablet or computer is a requirement for online classes so I will do the best I can. I’m sorry I can’t help everyone but I will try to help as much as I can,” she said in another tweet.
Last June 6, she happily updated her followers that she has sold an artwork of hers to purchase 550 tablets to those who have contacted her.
Based on her Instagram, it’s one of her latest women-themed paintings that she finished during the lockdown.
Heart said art, fashion and expressing herself has helped her cope with her “not so fairytale life.”
“My struggles in life are unknown to many but art, fashion and expressing myself has always helped me cope with my not so fairytale life. The time, hardwork and love that I put out in this artwork was well worth it as the proceeds have allowed me to purchase 550 tablets for angels,” she said.
Heart has already started to give away tablets to those who have asked for her help. On Instagram, she shared photos of those who received their tablets.
