COVID-19 stricken Bong Revilla rushed to hospital

Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla was rushed to an undisclosed hospital after developing pneumonia due to COVID-19, his wife Bacoor, Cavite Mayor Lani Mercado shared in a Facebook post Tuesday afternoon.

“His latest X-ray shows that he has developed pneumonia and isolation in a regular facility is no longer ideal,” revealed Lani.

Even after being brought to the hospital, Revilla managed to go live for a short time on Facebook, asking for prayers for his fast recovery.

“Laban… Hirap,” Revilla said in between coughs. “Just pray for me, please.”

Last August 10, Revilla announced on social media that he tested positive for the coronavirus and was self-isolating.

“Don’t worry, I am OK. Lani and the kids are also OK. In God’s mercy, they all tested negative,” he said.
