Comedian Kim Idol or Michael Argente in real life is reportedly in a critical condition after being found unconscious in the Philippine Arena early Thursday morning.
Kim serves as a marshal for the Bureau of Quarantine assigned at the multipurpose indoor arena in Bulacan, which has been converted into a COVID-19 quarantine facility.
According to fellow comedian Phillip Lazaro, a vein ruptured in Kim’s brain and he is now on life support.
“Let us all pray for Kim Idol. Naputukan ng ugat sa ulo. Critical condition. In life support now. KUYA JESUS, MAMA MARY PLS,” wrote Phillip in Facebook post seeking prayers for his friend.
In a Facebook post by Kim’s mom Maria Argente, she clarified that his son was not infected with COVID-19, adding that his condition was probably due to the arteriovenous malformation or AVM, which Mayo Clinic describes as the “tangle of abnormal blood vessels connecting arteries and veins in the brain.”
She also requested for prayers for his son’s quick recovery.
