Christopher de Leon has now tested negative for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
The veteran actor’s wife Sandy Andolong shared the good news via an Instagram story on Monday night.
“At last the long wait is over! All praise and glory to God,” wrote Sandy along with a photo showing her husband’s latest laboratory test result.
Last March 17, De Leon announced in an Instagram post that he tested positive for COVID-19, making him the first Filipino celebrity to be diagnosed with the disease.
The 63-year-old actor said he had no recent travel history and no known contact with a COVID-19 positive case but “due to the nature of my work in the entertainment business, I have interacted with many people.”
A week later, he got discharged from the hospital and was told to undergo home quarantine for 14 more days.
