“This was a miracle!”
After 16 years of marriage with politician Jules Ledesma, Assunta de Rossi on Tuesday announced that she is 14 weeks pregnant with their first baby.
On Instagram, the 37-year-old actress shared that last month she paid her doctor a visit after missing her period. After an ultrasound scan and blood test, they confirmed that she was already five weeks pregnant.
With her health complications like myoma and endometriosis, she believed that only a miracle can give her a baby.
“I know, shocking! Getting pregnant the natural way with myoma and endometriosis (which I both have) is extremely difficult. Only medical intervention or a miracle can make it happen. This was a miracle,” she wrote.
As she now goes through her fourth month of pregnancy, she shared that she’s worried she has not gained any weight yet.
“What scares me now is I’m already on my 14th week, and I haven’t gained an ounce of weight. Everything I eat goes to my tummy and (breasts),” she shared.
In past interviews, Assunta has been open with her infertility problems. She revealed her biggest “what if” is not having a baby early on in life.
