After persistent speculations, Barbie Imperial confirmed that she and Diego Loyzaga have ended their one-year relationship.
Barbie made the confirmation during an interview with ABS-CBN’s MJ Felipe, saying that they broke up on good terms.
The Kapamilya actress also shared the biggest lesson she learned about love: “Natutunan ko na baka kaya paulit-ulit nangyayari sakin to kasi hindi ko talaga minamahal ang sarili ko.”
Barbie and Diego first went Instagram official early in January last year, posting cozy photos of them together and have become open about their relationship on social media.
The ex-lovers previously figured in a controversy after blind items about a cheating incident by controversial social media personality Xian Gaza. Diego, meanwhile, was quick to dismiss the rumors.
The two celebrated their first anniversary as a couple on December 12 last year.
Rumors about Barbie and Diego’s split arose after the latter flew to the United States without the actress. Netizens also noted the two’s absence on each other’s Instagram feeds since they last posted their anniversary photos.
Diego in a press conference earlier said that his trip abroad was unplanned.
