Actor McCoy de Leon has denied speculations that his past relationships with Sachzna Laparan and Elisse Joson overlapped, calling the claims “false information.”
“I am always praying and hoping that we can be more responsible sharing information. Lalo na false information, kasi may family involved. Both families involved. Lalo na pinaka-important sa ‘kin, may bata involved,” McCoy said in an ABS-CBN interview during the black carpet premiere of Viva Horror Stories in Mandaluyong on Monday.
His statement came after Sachzna revealed in an interview with DJ Jhaiho on Banana Krew that she and De Leon previously dated when they were younger.
The actress-vlogger recalled that they reconnected after De Leon’s stint on Pinoy Big Brother: Lucky 7 in 2017, when he allegedly pursued her again. However, she clarified that they did not officially get back together.
Asked whether their renewed connection coincided with McCoy’s relationship with Elisse, Sachzna said she was unsure, noting that they might have already broken up at the time.
“Baka hindi naman. Baka naghiwalay naman sila or what. Hindi ko talaga alam,” Sachzna said.
She also recalled being hurt when McCoy entered Pinoy Big Brother, saying she felt he had left her hanging.
Sachzna’s disclosure sparked online discussions about the timeline of her past relationship with McCoy Leon and his romance with Elisse, but she has not confirmed that the relationships overlapped.
McCoy and Elisse, whose romance began during their stint on Pinoy Big Brother in 2016, welcomed their daughter, Felize, in 2021. The former couple confirmed their separation in a joint statement in July 2025.
