“It’s Showtime” host Jackie Gonzaga is mourning the death of her mother, Luisa.
Gonzaga shared the news on Instagram, posting photos of her late mother along with a heartfelt tribute.
“Pinakamatatag. Pinakamaganda. Pinaka-mapagmahal. Mahal na mahal kita ng sobra sobra mommy ko!! I love you forever!!!!” she wrote.
Jackie did not disclose the cause of her death. However, the dancer shared videos showing Luisa receiving treatment at a hospital.
Following the announcement, Gonzaga’s fellow “It’s Showtime” hosts and other celebrities took to the comments section to offer their condolences and words of support.
“My heart breaks with yours. Big hug [Jackie],” Anne Curtis wrote.
“Jackie, I’m so sorry. Nandito lang ako if you need anything. Let me know anytime. Love you! Sending you a big hug. Praying for Tita and your family. 🙏,” Ryan Bang said.
Jugs Jugueta also expressed his condolences, writing, “Yakap para sa buong pamilya. 🫂 Aalagaan ko ang mga Patani na bigay sa akin ni Mommy. 🥲🙏🏼❤️”
Baby Dolls member Chole Florendo shared, “Mommy Luisa ☹️ Prayers, Ate Jackie.”
Comedian Lassy, meanwhile, recalled his memories of Luisa, who he said would often sit beside him when she visited the “It’s Showtime” studio.
“Madalas kami magkatabi ni mommy sa upuan tuwing nasa studio sya ng It’s Showtime. Tapos tawa lang sya ng tawa sakin tuwing kakuwentuhan nya ako,” Lassy wrote.
He added that Luisa was always happy whenever something good happened in his life and would often remind him to take care of his health and get enough rest.
“Momimiss kita mommy. 😢 Salamat mommy memories 😭 and kahit papano ay minsan napatawa at napasaya kita,” Lassy continued, extending his condolences to Jackie and her family.
