Actor Jake Cuenca has confirmed he is exclusively dating Rabiya Mateo, putting an end to weeks of speculation about their relationship.
In a message shared on Ogie Diaz’s latest vlog, Jake admitted, “It’s safe to say that she makes me happy and we’re exclusively dating at the moment.”
Dating rumors first sparked after the two were spotted together in Taguig in March, followed by public appearances together including Kapuso child actress Sienna Stevens’ birthday celebration.
The two’s playful social media exchanges also caught fans’ attention.
Among the moments that fueled the “kilig” were their flirty comments online. When Rabiya shared photos from a wedding she attended in Thailand, Jake wrote, “Breathtaking. Definitely not looking at the elephant. 😍”
To which Rabiya replied, “Keep looking. 😊”
Mateo also reacted to Jake’s OOTD photos from South Korea with a simple “🔥 (fire emoji),” prompting the actor to respond with “🫠(melting face) emoji.”
Prior to confirming their relationship, Jake shared that he was easing back into dating, saying he was “moving on in [his] own time” and simply enjoying someone’s company.
The actor also made it clear he’s focused on the present, declining to comment on his ex Chie Filomeno’s personal life. “I’m not part of that person’s life… I’m doing my own thing,” he said.
