Former SexBomb Girls member Izzy Trazona recently broken her silence to address her relationship with her firstborn, Sofia Trazona, who recently ignited renewed speculation about parental conflict between them.
The issue reignited after Sofia posted on X about her relationship with her mother, revealing that it had been a long time since they last saw each other in person. Sofia admitted she fears her mother may not fully accept her gender identity.
Formerly known as Andrei, Sofia began transitioning as a trans woman in January 2025. Her decision previously placed the mother and daughter in the spotlight after the former performer publicly expressed disapproval of Sofia’s gender identity and career as a drag queen.
“’Di na po kami nagkikita ni mama, I also am scared na ‘pag nakita niya na ako ngayon as a transwoman, iba ‘yung reaction na mareceive ko and ayoko na bumalik sa dark place nung lumabas ‘yung issue,” Sofia’s post read.
“I just want validation and acceptance. Wala ng iba,” she added.
Sofia further expressed sadness over being unable to attend family gatherings on her mother’s side, saying she worries about being judged.
“It’s honestly so sad na di na ko nakakapunta sa mga reunion sa mom’s side, even birthdays kasi whenever pumupunta ako, lagi lang akong pinag-uusapan and pinagkakaisahan.”
Days after Sofia’s post circulated online, Izzy responded on social media to clarify their relationship. Sharing screenshots of their recent text exchange, Izzy emphasized that they remain amicable and supportive of one another.
“Ayoko na sana i-public ito, pero ang dami nanaman lumalabas at nagcocomment even if they don’t know the truth behind…palaging ganern. Dapat po ‘wag gano’n hehe. Pero pipilitin ko pa din intindihin ang mga people,” Izzy captioned her post.
In the shared messages, Sofia congratulated her mother following her reunion with her fellow SexBomb members during the group’s recent concert.
“I’m so happy and proud of you!! In spite of everything, you still sticked to what you know is right. Naiiyak lang ako na nakita ko na nasa concert ka with your friends. God bless po,” Sofia wrote.
Izzy replied the following day: “Salamat anak by His strength always. I miss you! Continue to be strong, praying for you always. Mag-ingat ka palagi. I love you.”
The exchange concluded with Sofia echoing her mother’s message, expressing that she misses her as well and offering prayers.
In a separate update, Sofia recently shared that she is set to undergo a major operation as part of her transition journey.
