Chie Filomeno calls Sofia Andres a ‘bully’

-

Actress Chie Filomeno sparked controversy online after accusing fellow actress and celebrity mom Sofia Andres of allegedly spreading false rumors about her and paying influencers to attack her on social media.

In a series of Instagram Stories posted on Sunday, Oct. 19, the Kapamilya star claimed that Andres had been orchestrating a demolition job against her by circulating malicious stories and hiring people to amplify the hate.

According to Chie, the revelation came from one of the influencers whom Sofia allegedly tried to hire who then reached out to the former with alleged proof of Andres’ actions.

“Chie, message me on Viber. I will send you screenshots of Sofia reaching out to influencers like me to spread hate on you sa TikTok and other platforms,” the unnamed source told her via text message.

Chie then posted screenshots of supposed conversations between Andres and influencers.

In one message allegedly from Sofia, the sender wrote: “I have screenshots of proof. About Chie, Max Collin’s and etc. To act like a fan observing. Let me know if it’s possible.”

In another message, Andres seemingly insisted, “I’m not sure. I just want it out.”

Filomeno expressed her shock and disappointment upon discovering the alleged scheme.

“Truly heartbreaking. I know she’s evil but didn’t expect her to go this low. I am not surprised anymore though,” she wrote.

She also addressed Sofia directly, expressing concern for the latter’s daughter, “I hope and pray that the things you are doing to me now, your daughter will never experience… I will never ever do something like this.”

Chie went on to say she initially wanted to “let karma do its job” but decided to speak up.

“I am your karma… You post and act differently online but say and do completely different things behind it.”

The actress also dismissed Sofia’s alleged explanation that her accounts had been hacked.

“Some dummy accounts and ‘verified’ accounts are so specific now with their comments… Sasabihin mo pa na-hack ka? Girl, nag send si influencer ng GCash sa’yo. Sayong sayoooo ang number,” Chie said.

In a longer statement, Chie explained how the situation has deeply affected her and her family.

“I tried, I really did. I’m sorry, tao lang din ako. Masasaktan, mapupuno, at minsan sasabog. What she did was too much. I saw the effect it had on my family, okay lang sana if it were just me, trust me, l’ve heard worse. Pero iba na kapag nadadamay na sila,” lamented Filomeno. said.

“The revelations these past few weeks about what she’s been doing behind my back are unbelievable and unsettling. Holding in that much information while hurting is destructive – it took a huge toll on me and my families’ mental health. I was at peace, really was, but she would always do something to take that away.”

Chie clarified that she did not want to involve Sofia’s child in the issue but called out the actress for possibly using the “mom” or “anak card” to defend herself from the issue.

“I’m not dragging the child into this. I just wish that whatever she’s doing now never happens to her own kid or to anyone’s kid in the future. If she keeps using the “mom card” or “anak card” to justify her actions, I hope she realizes that protecting your child means keeping them away from the chaos, not bringing them into it.”

Filomeno ended her post by condemning the alleged bullying.

“As much as I want to do this with grace, sometimes they need a taste of their own medicine. But what you’re doing now is cruel, Sofia – messaging creators to throw hate on someone? That’s crossing the line. That’s evil really,” Chie reiterated her disappointment.

She added, “I’ll never get tired of standing up for myself and the people I love because I know we did nothing wrong. Girl ang tanda na natin, bully ka pa din hanggang ngayon?!”

As of writing, Sofia has yet to issue a public response to the allegations.
