Filipino pop/alternative band Cup of Joe continues to “haunt” the charts both locally and globally with their hit track “Multo,” which has officially become the first Filipino song to debut on the Billboard Global 200 chart.

On Wednesday, Billboard released its weekly rankings for the week of April 19, 2025, with “Multo” landing at No. 181.

The emotionally charged track from the Baguio-based band’s album “Silakbo” marks a historic moment as the first Filipino entry on the chart—a significant milestone for OPM on the global stage.

The Billboard Global 200 ranks the world’s most popular songs based on streaming and sales activity across over 200 countries, using a weighted formula that includes official streams and digital sales.

“Multo” also made it to No. 74 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart, which ranks top songs outside the United States using the same methodology focused on international performance.

In the Philippines, “Multo” dominated the Billboard Top Philippines Songs chart, while also topping Spotify and iTunes locally.

As of writing, the song has garnered nearly 63 million streams on Spotify and become a viral sensation on TikTok. Fans have been creating fan-made content around themes of heartbreak and regret—proof of just how deeply the song resonates with listeners.
