Celebrity couple Gerald Anderson and Julia Barretto were recently spotted together celebrating the actor’s mother Evangeline Anderson’s 66th birthday, which took place in General Santos City.
The Kapamilya actor shared moments from the celebration at his hometown on his Instagram last Saturday, which captured Julia by his side during the special occasion.
“Happy birthday Ma,” Gerald captioned the post that came along with pictures of the couple and his mother.
In addition to the photos, a video from the celebration circulated on TikTok, capturing a heartwarming exchange between the actor and his mom.

The video, filmed by a party attendee, showed Gerald giving a heartfelt message to his mother, thanking her for years of love and care.
“Happy Birthday. We wish you the best, Ma. Thank you sa all the years na pag-aalaga sa amin. Salamat dahil inalagaan mo kami. Alam namin na ibibigay mo ang lahat para sa amin at ibibigay din namin ang lahat para sa iyo,” Gerald said in his message.
However, as Gerald promised to give everything he could to make his mother happy, he paused and jokingly hinted that there were some things he could not yet provide, which might cause her disappointment.
“Lahat ng gusto mo ibibigay namin. Pero kapag hindi naman namin kaya, huwag ka na magtampo,” he said with a smile, eliciting laughter from other attendees.
Evangeline, however, had one wish in mind that she admitted was outside her children’s immediate control. The camera then pans to a smiling Julia who seems to have a hint at what the birthday wish is.
“Hindi naman nanghihingi si Mama na hindi niyo kaya, ‘e. I’m having a little bit… so I’m asking you, give me a… [apo]”, she said, trailing off as she noticed Gerald’s surprised reaction to her candid request.
The couple, who has been together since 2021, had previously shut down persistent rumors and questions about them setting down soon.
Earlier, Julia also firmly denied allegations about their supposed “secret wedding”, questioning the need to “rush” over such a matter.
