Kapuso star Alden Richards voiced his frustration about speculations about his sexuality in a recent interview.
During his recent appearance on Toni Gonzaga’s talk show vlog, Toni Talks, Alden was asked about “what he was tired of hearing about.”
To this, he responded, “Sa gender issue.”
He mentioned that the repetitive questioning about his gender has become a topic of discussion, leading people to speculate and form their own opinions.
Alden expressed his indifference, saying, “Tingin nyong ganu’n? Fine. Tingin nyo bading, fine.
“Ang iniisip ko nga kapag may ganu’ng mga rumors, wala na bang iba?” he remarked.
Richards acknowledged that such rumors have become an issue for him, particularly because he currently doesn’t have a girlfriend. He admitted that judgments about the gender of men in the industry are easily made due to this fact.
“‘Yung judgment call sa gender ng mga kalalakihan sa industriya natin is ang dali because of that fact,” the actor said.
Despite this, Alden mentioned that he doesn’t pay much attention to the issue because he is content with his life even without a romantic relationship at the moment.
He emphasized that he doesn’t waste opportunities that come his way and believes that there is a right time for everything, including his love life.
“I’m happy, perfectly happy with what I have, what I’m able to do at the moment, I seize every opportunity, sayang eh, there’s time for that (love life),” Alden said.
The Family of Two star recently shared in a separate media interview that he plans to lie low from showbiz once he decides to settle down.
He also opened up on the qualities he hopes to find in a future girlfriend.
