P-pop stars jazz up the OPM scene at SM Fandom’s P-pop Fest Year 2

-

Turning up the volume on the P-pop wave, the OPM Series: P-pop Fest Year 2 returned with renewed passion and an even more vibrant community.

The all-access celebration of P-pop came to life last June 8, 2025, at The Annex Atrium, Level 4, SM North EDSA. Launched by SM Fandom and supported in part by JuanCast and STARcast Exclusive, the event brought every Juan a step closer to an all-out, immersive, head-turning fandom experience.

With a star-studded stage and an electric atmosphere, a lineup of next-gen P-pop artists showcased their vocal and dance prowess, undeniable presence, and shared dream for greatness through passionate performances. More than just a show, the event became a space for Filipino artists and fans to revel in a collective, culture-shaping moment for OPM.

Kicking off the performances with a bang, Glitzy’s high-energy number and GenZix’s eye-catching presence instantly elevated the pre-show’s quick five-second flash into a full-on spectacle. With the hype surging through the crowd, the rising P-pop acts wasted no time taking over the main stage—starting with soloist ZÉLA, who ruled with her bold “one of the number one” sound.

Keeping the momentum alive, the spotlight turned to a wave of promising young talents, including the charismatic and swoon-worthy boy groups ONE VERSE, ASTER, CLOUD 7, and AJAA—each delivering performances that left fans cheering for more.

To cap off the festive night, the highly anticipated headliners of P-pop Fest Year 2 delivered the final, powerful notes—starting with the much-awaited ‘reboot and rise’ of MNL48. Since 2018, the group has paved the way for P-pop idol culture, standing as one of the leading lights of the new Pinoy Pop Era.

Global group and Lucky 7 superstars HORI7ON lit up the finale, continuing their mission of bringing P-pop to the world stage—from the Philippines to South Korea and beyond.

Twice as impactful as the first, the second year of P-pop Fest was, without a doubt, louder, grander, and fiercer in its celebration of local pop.

P-pop is not only thriving—it’s evolving—thanks to the enduring connection between artists and fans, further solidifying the unique identity of Philippine music and Filipino talent.
