ABS-CBN film production brand Black Sheep shared a sneak peek of Joshua Garcia as Gilberto “Galo” P. Manansala, the leading role in the film adaptation of Bob Ong’s best-selling book Ang Mga Kaibigan ni Mama Susan.
Black Sheep announced Joshua’s lead role in the film early February. “Coming soon: we’ve got a first time co-production with Regal Entertainment Inc. and Director Chito S. Roño for an adaptation of Bob Ong’s ‘Ang Mga Kaibigan ni Mama Susan,’ starring Joshua Garcia,” the film outfit wrote.
The horror-mystery novel published in 2010 features the life of Galo and how his everyday experiences turn supernatural the minute he returns to his hometown for his ill Mama Susan.
