Aside from the glitz and glamour, the ABS-CBN Ball 2023 became one romantic night as some Kapamilya couples, who were just rumored to be dating before, flexed their relationship for the first time at the star-studded event on Saturday.
Celebrity couple Julia Montes and Coco Martin, who looked elegant in both black ensembles, seemingly made a “hard launch” with the biggest PDA moment of their relationship so far by HHWW (holding hands while walking) at the red carpet.
“We’re good and very happy kasi nag-sama-sama tayo ngayon and after a long time di ba? And bihira mangyari ito. Tama talaga yung tagline, ‘forever grateful,’” said Julia.
“Ito na ba ‘yung main launch? Dati may soft launch. Eto ba ‘yung main launch natin sa red carpet ng ABS-CBN Ball?” host Gretchen Fullido teased the pair who recently confirmed their 12-year romance.
Apart from the two, actor Zanjoe Marudo in a gray suit and black bow tie, and his girlfriend Ria Atayde in a body-hugging blue dress attended the Ball as each other’s plus one this time.
Lovebirds Carlo Aquino and Charlie Dizon, who donned a dapper cream suit and a shimmering royal blue gown, respectively, also made their much-anticipated couple walk on the red carpet.
It was also a magical night for actress Maris Racal who donned her well-fitting golden dress with blue bustle as she strutted the red carpet with boyfriend Rico Blanco in a sleek black suit and bow tie.
Behind the sweet and fancy moments, ABS-CBN marked the gathering as a celebration of gratitude to its foundation, which will benefit from the event, and to its artists and other stakeholders.
