On Friday, Kakai Bautista announced that she has finally “graduated from COVID university.” The actress-comedienne said she tested positive for the virus but was asymptomatic.
“Today, on my 14th day, I graduated from COVID University!!!!! Yes I was tested positive for Covid-19 (asymptomatic). And got another test today and the result was negative. THANK YOU LORD,” she wrote on Instagram.
Kakai shared that she is making her COVID-19 journey public to raise more awareness on the illness.
“GUYSH, Covid is not a Joke. Oo, sakit sya, virus sya. Pero mas PARANG ikakamatay mo ang FEAR AND ANXIETY pag nagkaroon ka,” she said.
The 42-year-old shared that once she found she had the illness, she surrendered everything to God.
“2 bagay lang ang sinabe ko kay Lord: ‘Lord, hindi pa ako pwedeng mamatay kasi mababawasan ng maganda ang mundo’ AND ‘Lord, I surrender everything to you,” she said.
After turning to God, she said she immediately felt better.
“AKAP and PRAYERS SA LAHAT NG MAY PINAGDADAANAN sa Walanghiyamg virus na ito. MATATAPOS din ito Guysh!!! KAPIT lang tayo,” she ended.
Kakai added that she will be releasing a vlog on her COVID-19 journey soon.
