Actress Jennylyn Mercado came to the defense of single mothers after an online basher left a comment regarding these women.
The Kapuso star reposted a screenshot of a tweet that sarcastically asked the public to respect single mothers.
“Respeto naman sa mga babaeng inanakan lang,” the Twitter user said.
Jennylyn took this opportunity to remind single mothers like her to never let those kinds of comments affect them.
“Having a kid early doesn’t make you less of a woman. In fact, it’s the opposite. Being a single parent made us stronger than ever,” she said.
In another tweet, she encouraged her fellow single parents to hold their head up high.
“Kaya always hold your head up high. We are more powerful than they think they are,” she said.
The Descendants of the Sun star is a single mother to her son with her ex-boyfriend Patrick Garcia.
