Starting this week, Richard Gutierrez is now part of the star-studded cast of action series FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.
The actor said his character, Angelito, in the long-running ABS-CBN serye is someone to watch out for.
“Ang character ko dito ay si Angelito. Lumaki na maraming paghihirap na pinagdaanan. Ang taong nagpapasaya sa kanya at minahal niya ay yung character ni Alyana. Siguro ang dapat abangan ng viewers ay yung unang paghaharap namin ni Coco,” he said in a report from Pilipino Star Ngayon.
“Ito po ang bagong yugto ng Ang Probinsyano,” he said.
The 36-year-old said it is an honor to be included in one of the top teleseryes in the country.
“Alam naman natin na Ang Probinsyano, sa generation namin ay isang haligi sa action at sa teleserye. Excited ako bilang aktor na maging bahagi ng ganitong klaseng show na ilang taon nang tumatakbo and yet No. 1 pa rin,” he shared.
This is his first time working with the serye’s lead star Coco Martin. Richard admitted he felt a little nervous to be working with Coco, but still he is excited for their viewers to witness Cardo and Angelito’s interactions.
“Excited ako nung unang araw ko sa taping, syempre may konting kaba. Ito yung unang beses na nagkatrabaho kami ni Coco,” he said.
Richard added that he admires Coco for his work as an actor and a director.
“Bilib na bilib ako kay Coco dahil mahirap yung ginagawa niyang trabaho bilang isang direktor isang artista. Sobrang bilib ako sa energy, sa passion na ibinibigay niya sa project na to,” he shared.
