Lead stars Lana Condor and Noah Centineo of Netflix’s hit romance film To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before brought kilig to Pinoy fans as they learned some Filipino romance slang words.
In a video posted by Netflix Philippines on Thursday, February 20, Lana and Noah took wild guesses of what the three Filipino words — namely “abangers,” “NBSB” and “kilig” — mean.
Watch the video below as the two stars try to keep up with the unfamiliar words, and even tried using them in a sentence.
Lana and Noah, who play Lara Jean Covey and Peter Kavinsky, respectively, were scheduled to meet their Filipino fans last February 15 to promote To All The Boys: P.S. I Still Love You, the sequel to their hit 2018 rom-com movie. It was eventually cancelled “in order to ensure the health and well-being of our fans and all those attending” due to the ongoing threats of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
In an exclusive phone interview with STAR, Lana and Noah assured Filipino fans whom they weren’t able to meet on the supposedly “post-Valentine’s date” of a future meet-and-greet event.
“Save some room for us because this will not be the only opportunity that we will be able to meet,” said Lana.
“We’re really sorry we can’t make it out there but we will, whether it’s for the third film or for another project. Yes, stay safe out there, we know it’s super, super sketchy right now. So, our hearts are with you all, be mindful,” added Noah.
To All The Boys: P.S. I Still Love You began streaming on Netflix last February 12.
