LOOK: Solenn Heussaff questions Phl gov’t response to nCoV

-

After news of the first confirmed case of novel coronavirus in the Philippines broke out, actress Solenn Heussaff took to Twitter to air out her frustrations on the government’s response to the ongoing outbreak.

“Why is our government still allowing flights in from China?? That should have been the first action when news about this virus came out,” she wrote.

Solenn was referring to the public’s plea for a travel ban from tourists from Wuhan, China, the ground zero of the newly discovered strain of coronavirus. The city has been in a lockdown since January 23.

YouTube star Mikey Bustos was quick to agree to Solenn’s tweet.

Netizens agreed to the 34-year-old actress’ sentiments.

“Madam, ayaw daw nila ma-offend ang China! Di bale (nang) magkasakit ang buong Pilpinas, wag lang ma-offend ang amo nila. Kung ganon pala, bakit di niya unahin bigyan ng virus ang angkan nila,” a netizen responded.

Another replied: “Baka daw ma offend. Diplomacy >>> welfare.”
