Kristine Hermosa was brought to tears as she reminisced on how her dream of building a family came true with her husband of nine years Oyo Sotto.
In Danica Sotto’s recent cooking vlog, the couple were asked what their biggest lessons in marriage were. The couple both talked about working through imperfections.
“Wala talagang perfect, walang perfect day, walang perfect person, so you just need to really appreciate kung sino yung binigay sayo ni God and eventually grow together,” Kristine said.
The actress added she has learned to forgive Oyo’s “kakulitan” and moments of hardheadedness.
“Hindi din naman ako madali kasama sa buhay pero natutunan namin yung isa’t isa na you know you work together,” she admitted.
As for Oyo, he said a marriage becomes perfect through the presence of God. “Kailangan mo lang maging mapag paawa, kailangan mo maging pasensyosong tao kasi magkakamali at magkakamali ka,” he said.
Kristine, fighting back tears, said it has always been her dream to build a family.
“Even before pa naman kumbaga yung nasa heart ko alam talaga ni Lord. Gusto ko magkarron ng family. Kasi yun yung wala ako, yung intact, yung alam mong sayo. Nung binigay niya sa akin to, ano pa hihingin mo? Di ko na pababayaan, diba?”
The couple tied the knot last January 2011. They now have four children together.
