After the onslaught of Typhoon Ulysses, celebrities extended their support for the victims of the catastrophe.
Angel Locsin took to social media to share emergency hotlines for anyone who might need rescuing at this time.
“My heart bleeds for those heavily affected by these typhoons #Rolly & #Ulysses. Praying that you, your loved ones, and colleagues are safe and secure,” she said.
She then reminded her followers that their resilience is greater than any calamity.
“Alagaan natin ang isa’t isa. Keep safe mga kababayan ko,” she ended.
Meanwhile, on her Twitter profile, she shared ways on how to help those who were affected by the casualties of the typhoon.
She suggested that those at home can help those who need rescuing by checking social media and helping them contact authorities through the hashtag #RescuePH.
Early today, veteran singer and dancer Gary Valenciano called for prayers for a “special family” in his life who are stranded in Marikina.
“The water is almost up to their necks and the rains haven’t stopped. Lord Jesus only You can do anything about this for them and every other family at this time. Come to their rescue Lord,” he wrote.
In another tweet, he asked God to strengthen his reign now that the weather is calmer.
Television host Bianca Gonzales shared an infographic on how to use the #RescuePH hashtag properly.
She also asked those using the hashtag not to flood the threads so that victims can be tracked better.
Even while she’s in Australia, actress Anne Curtis advised her fans to take necessary precautions.
Actress Ria Atayde also extended her support for linemen and rescue teams who will be heading out after the typhoon.
“Sending all my love, light, and prayers to those affected by this typhoon and to all those heading out to help out (especially linemen and rescue teams),” she wrote on Instagram.
Meanwhile, newbie father Billy Crawford shared their “little” sunshine as he extends his prayers for everyone’s safety.
Gerald Anderson, on the other hand, wrote: “So many helpless Filipinos right now… I can only send out my prayers for now… Please stay safe and strong ??.”
As of writing, Typhoon Ulysses slightly weakened as it continues to move westward over the West Philippine Sea.
