Miss Universe Philippines 2019 Gazini Ganados is graceful despite defeat. The country’s bet reached the Top 20 of the international pageant.
The new titleholder of Miss Universe is South Africa’s Zozibini Tunzi. She was crowned by her predecessor Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray in Atlanta, Georgia, December 9 (Philippine time.)
Gazini has no regrets after the competition. The 23-year-old beauty from Talisay City, Cebu chose to look on the bright side.
“This experience has been so fun kahit 10 days lang siya. I know that I did my best. I changed outfits four times a day. Iba iba outfit every hour,” she said in an interview with ABS-CBN reporter Dyan Castillejo.
“What I learned from this batch, no matter what happens, win or not, you still have a sister in everyone. That’s what I really loved about everyone’s personality. Everyone’s unique and I’m so happy for Zozibini,” she added.
Gazini did not leave the competition empty handed, she was chosen as the contestant with the Best National Costume.
Her eagle-inspired costume was made by Filipino fashion designer Cary Santiago.
