‘Nagkamali ako’: Vlogger Buknoy apologizes for viral comment on tricycle drivers

YouTube vlogger Buknoy has offered his “sincere” apology following his “wala kayong mararating” comment about tricycle drivers.

Tulad nito,” Buknoy said in a vlog, pointing out a passing tricycle driver.

Buknoy trended on Twitter Friday after netizens called out his “insensitive and offensive” comment.

Following the backlash, Buknoy said he is sorry and admitted that he was at fault for not clarifying what he wanted to “emphasize” with his comment.

Buknoy stressed that he has nothing against tricycle drivers and is not degrading anyone.

The 16-year-old vlogger reiterated that he has nothing bad to say about tricycle drivers, citing as an example the close bonds he formed with the ones in their place.

Buknoy then pleaded for understanding and stopping the hate on social media.

As of writing, it appears that Buknoy has deactivated his Facebook account and has no updates on Twitter and Instagram.

He also thanked those who continue to support him, and urged netizens not to spread “fake news” with his statement.
