Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach marked her 20 years of modeling and acting looking back on the past as she posted throwback photos of her journey in front of the camera.
On her Instagram stories, an 11-year-old Pia smiles for a photo.
She also shared a photo with Filipino writer and director Chito Rono.
Pia’s competition debut was at Hair Asia, a hairstyling and makeup competition, where she was a model for a contestant.
“The highest placement I got was 1st runner up,” she wrote.
Pia joined the showbiz industry in 2002. She was part of ABS-CBN’s talent center Star Magic’s Batch 11. Her access to the industry gained her lifelong friends like actress Angel Locsin.
As a child, Pia had already shown her fascination for performing. “Already the little actress, I liked setting the camera on timer mode so I can pretend I’m performing,” she said.
She also shared her humble beginnings in the world of modeling.
As she looked back on photos from her formative years, Pia featured her old hairstyle, a short bob with bangs.
“Balik ko kaya itong hairstyle na to,” she said.
Pia ended her short trip down memory lane with a recent photo of her showcasing her years of modeling with a strong smize.
“This year marks 20 years since I’ve been in front of the camera. Modeling and acting. Feeling so grateful.”
