HYBE label’s Source Music, the entertainment company behind K-pop group LE SSERAFIM, has filed a damage lawsuit against Min Hee Jin, the CEO of ADOR, the talent management of NewJeans.
Source Music confirmed the lawsuit in a recent article published by Naver, stating, “It is true that Source Music has filed a damages lawsuit against CEO Min.”
The company didn’t provide further details about the case, adding, “It is difficult to confirm any other specifics.”
Reports from South Korean media outlets indicated that Source Music recently filed the lawsuit at the Seoul Western District Court, seeking 500 million won in damages for defamation, obstruction of business, and insult.
The lawsuit alleges that Min Hee Jin’s remarks led to LE SSERAFIM becoming the target of malicious comments.
Min Hee Jin was recently involved in a controversy regarding her parent label, HYBE, with allegations that she plans to fully take over ADOR.
Previously, Min Hee Jin served as the creative director for Source Music before HYBE helped her establish her own label, ADOR, where she now manages NewJeans.
